Many antique hand woven textiles appreciate with time. Learn the current market value and history of your Oriental rugs by obtaining a professional appraisal.

Many homeowner’s insurance policies may not reimburse more then a fraction of the real value in case of a natural disaster, theft or any other mishap unless the appraisal is specific and current. See a sample “Certificate
​of Appraisal and Record of Ownership.”

Each certificate includes a brief history of the rug, a structural analysis, identifying picture and current replacement value. You need a current “Certificate of Appraisal” to properly insure your valuable property.

​CONSULTING

​The successful design of every room is largely determined by imaginative floor coverings and Ko ‘Z’ Craft can consult on design, design new rugs, manufacture them or restore treasured older rugs.
Hratch provides commercial and personal consulting on the design and placement of custom-made rugs. He oversees not only the design, but also the manufacturing of the rugs. In addition, he is also available for consulting to the movie industry—he helps ensure that the rugs accurately represent the film’s location and historical time.

A consultation with Hratch will help determine if restoration of a particular rug or textile is worth the cost. Some restorations increase the value of the piece more than the cost of the restoration and others won’t. Getting an appraisal of your rug is a good place to start.
